Summary

I run a small product practice now, and most of the work is done by agents guided by distinct mandates rather than distinct prompts. They keep their own logs, run on schedules I didn't trigger, and correct each other in a shared record I don't directly manipulate. Unless they can disagree with each other, any consensus they reach is worthless. Two of them have caught errors in my work this month that I'd have shipped, and one of those was an error I made while writing a rule about that exact mistake.

Piper Morgan started as a learning project, an attempt to build myself a product assistant. It's now a team, a system, a methodology, an operating model, a product laboratory, and a consulting practice. I'll give an update on a year of agentic development, show how the duty cycles actually work, and tell you about many hilarious failures and humiliations along the way. I'll also get into what has stayed expensive while everything else got cheap, or at least "heavily subsidized for now till we figure out a business model."

Who it's for: product, design and research people who are past the "should we use this" conversation and into the "what does this actually do to the work" one.
