As the Global Head of Design at Goldman Sachs, he led a team over 100 designers, engineers, and product managers, who were responsible for the most widely used digital platforms at the firm. They built the Goldman Sachs Design System and code library (http://design.gs.com) with a custom typeface written up in The NY Times. During his tenure, they increased the scale and impact of designers, from a handful of designers to several hundred in every division, including in Private Wealth Management, Global Markets, Marcus, and Asset Management. He was proud to be a Disability Forum ‘Champion’ and support the firm’s Africa Recruiting Initiative.
As the Head of User Experience Design at Fidelity, Steve built a team of over 300 designers, researchers, and front end engineers. He was responsible for research and design of every customer-facing and internal product, including Web, Mobile, and Desktop software. They made the firm's products a competitive differentiator though good design and ease of use. They defined the Fidelity design system, across Web, Mobile and desktop applications, across Fidelity’s multiple lines of Personal, Workplace, and Advisor businesses.
Previous to this, he started the User Experience group at Morgan Stanley. He got his start as a designer as employee #2 at Razorfish, which they grew to one of NYC’s premier digital agencies.
