Sarah B. Nelson
Founder, Chief Architect at Architects of the Future
Sarah B. Nelson is a multimedia artist working across sound, image, language, and code. Trained as a violinist and photographer, she studied Visual Arts and Electronic Music at Oberlin College, where she built non-linear narratives that bridged digital and physical space.
Sarah is a pioneer in human-centered design, championing a people-first ethos for digital products and services. Her career spans Adaptive Path, Hot Studio, POP!, IBM, PepsiCo, and Kyndryl, where she specialized in shaping intentional environments, organizational systems that support humane technology.
Today she advocates for human imagination, dignity, and meaning in the age of AI. She founded Architects of the Future and is leading development at Lumina Arts, a community arts center at the Union Church of Pocantico Hills built on the premise that everyone is an artist.
Across every medium — violin, camera, circuit, wax — her focus remains constant: creative potential lives in all humans and must be protected, even as tools change.
