Sean McKay is a UX-driven product leader and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience creating digital products that are meaningful to customers and effective for business. He is known as a passionate systems thinker who combines practical UX methods, product strategy, and optimism to help organizations solve complex problems and build better products.

Sean is the creator of Whole Product Thinking, a practical framework for aligning customer understanding, product strategy, design, engineering, and AI around a shared vision for building successful digital products. Today, he advises and leads product initiatives ranging from enterprise platforms to early-stage ventures, helping teams align customer needs, business strategy, and technology while thoughtfully integrating AI into product development.

Previously, Sean founded Handrail, one of the first enterprise ResearchOps platforms, helping organizations capture, organize, and operationalize customer understanding across product teams. Following its acquisition by UserTesting in 2021, he served as Vice President of Product Strategy.
