Sara Conklin
Customer Operations Manager, Vayu
Sara Conklin is a UX strategist and service designer with 20 years of experience in B2B SaaS and services. She might be the only heat pump installer on the planet with a background in user research and journey mapping. After two decades shaping customer experiences at large tech corporations, Sara pivoted into clean energy and residential electrification. She holds certifications in Behavior Design for the Environment from Rare, Electrification Coaching from Rewiring America, and AI for Energy Solutions from MIT.
She currently serves as Customer Operations Manager at Vayu, a California-based heat pump installation company, where as employee #2 she does pretty much anything required to get furnaces out and heat pumps into customer homes. Whenever possible, she applies her service design background to the real, unglamorous, and deeply important work of getting American homes off fossil fuels.
