Xènia Viladas
Adjunct Professor, IE University
Independent consultant with a long trajectory in the business design, service design, and design management fields, which ultimately enables me to provide robust and actionable strategic advice to organizations. I openly prefer working for small and micro firms, including design studios.
Economist and MBA by training, I am a vocational business designer
As an educator, I have been a full-time professor and the chair for Service Design at SCAD (Savannah, GA) between 2014 and 2020. While at SCAD, I managed seven relevant collaborative projects sponsored by Fidelity Investments, HP home printers, Delta Airlines, Philips Healthcare, Disney Imagineering, HEB and P&G, and my students have won important awards in competitions like Red Dot, European Design Awards or IDEA, with projects developed in my classes.
I consider myself to be an expert in corporate strategy and design management, specializing in business design, which nowadays means service design. As such, I have worked for a diversity medium-sized companies and for small design companies willing to reshape their strategy and improve their management skills.
