Theresa Slate

Theresa Slate is a multidisciplinary designer turned design operations practitioner with an unnatural passion for processes, frameworks, and making organizations more human-centered. While her expertise spans the full spectrum of design, what drives her is simple: make things that work for people. This ranges from designing interactions for digital experiences to developing organization models to support and grow people. She has championed products and programs across industries both as a design consultant and in-house designer, most recently as Design Operations Lead at Northern Trust where she works close with the design system to team to help the design organization scale its impact across the enterprise.

Regardless of the work, Theresa dives deep into her work and has an inherent ability to see connections others might miss, find clarity through the chaos, and bring people along for the ride to help them consider new ways of working or being.
