Marc Fonteijn
CEO & Host, Service Design Show
Marc Fonteijn is a recognized expert and pioneer in the field of service design. He co-founded the first service design studio in the Netherlands and has worked with leading national and international brands.
For the last decade, Marc has hosted the Service Design Show, a highly respected podcast featuring over 200 interviews with industry icons, legends, and pioneers. In 2008, he wrote "The Coffee Shop story," a classic explanation of service design that is still widely used today and has earned him the title of "grandfather of service design" by some.
Marc is a devoted father of two, holds a degree in software engineering, and enjoys solving Rubik's cubes in three minutes or less (on a good day). He's also an average FPV drone pilot and was even once the play-by-play commentator on X (Twitter) for his favorite sports team, which earned him a spot on the official press stand.
